A rejection over a file being 400 KB too large costs the same as a rejection over substance: the deadline, the client call, and the afternoon it takes to redo. It is also the only kind that is entirely preventable.

Each preset shows the source it was taken from and the month it was checked. Agencies change requirements without notice — confirm before a deadline-critical filing.
Why the Schengen preset is worded carefully
Because there is no single Schengen digital specification. The 35 × 45 mm print size is the same across all 27 states; the file-size limit is set by each country’s own portal and they disagree. The preset says so instead of inventing one number. A tool that quietly guesses here is how a filing gets rejected by a rule nobody told you about.
What goes in the matter file
A dated compliance report per document: every check that passed, the delivered file’s SHA-256, and an explicit statement of what it does not certify. It is the difference between “we think we checked it” and a document you can hand to a reviewer.
