Before and after, measured

The photo people really take, and the page the Compliance Studio delivers. Every result on this page was measured, not described.

Before and after, measured: what the Compliance Studio delivers.

The short answer. On 1 October 2026, 16 specimen form photos went through the live Compliance Studio at docsupra.com: tilted, sideways, shot at an angle, on wood, on a dark table, on a checkered cloth, under someone’s shadow. All 16 came out complete, straight (the worst side was 0.20° off level) and with their proportions intact (largest change 0.12%). The specimen ID cards found on a contrasting surface came out straightened and cropped to the card, in full colour.

“Fixes crooked scans” is easy to write. This page shows the input, the output and the measurement for each case, including the awkward ones: a W-2 photographed sideways, a bank statement shot at an angle, an agreement whose red stamp must stay red.

What is checked on every delivered page

Complete

All four corner marks of the page are present. Nothing was cropped and nothing was covered.

Straight

Each of the four sides is within 0.7° of level. The worst side in this run measured 0.20°.

Not stretched

The page keeps its proportions within 2.5%. The largest change in this run was 0.12%.

No table left

The desk, the cloth and the shadow are gone: the outer frame of the file is paper.

Colour kept

A red stamp stays red, a blue signature blue, a green label green and a navy header navy.

Nothing uploaded

Every page on this screen was prepared inside the browser. DocSupra has no server that receives documents.

ID cards, before and delivered

With the document type set to a driver licence or ID, the studio looks for the edge of the card, and a pale card on a pale table is searched a second time with the tone of the table measured finely. When the edge is found with confidence, the card is straightened and cropped, in full colour. When it is not, for example a card almost the colour of the table, a card cut off by the edge of the photo or two cards in one photo, the photo is delivered exactly as it was taken, with nothing cropped, turned or recoloured, and the report says so. It does not guess with an identity document.

How each delivered page is measured

Every specimen page carries four small black marks in its corners. In the delivered file the four marks are located again, and the checks below are computed from their positions and from the pixels of the file. Nobody looks at the picture and gives an opinion:

The same forms go through the live site again in an automated check, together with the Integrity Scanner, the Enterprise Compliance Studio, Safari and the checkout. A check that fails is reported on the status page.

Try it with your own document

  1. Open the Compliance Studio

The studio opens in the browser. There is nothing to install.

  2. Drop the photo or the scan

It is read on your own device. Nothing is uploaded.

  3. Say what it is and where it goes

Choose the document type and, if you have one, the destination. The page is prepared in one pass.

  4. Look before you pay

The whole result is shown on screen, with a magnifier for the detail. Downloading the finished file is what is paid.

What this page does not claim

These are specimen documents with invented data, rendered as phone photos and scans under controlled conditions: tilt, perspective, wood, a dark table, a checkered cloth, a stray shadow. Real photos vary more. Glare across the text, a folded corner, motion blur or a page cut off by the camera cannot be repaired by any software; the result is on screen before any payment, with a magnifier for the detail, so you judge it before you download. An ID card whose edge cannot be found with confidence is delivered as it was taken. DocSupra prepares the file; it does not verify that a document is genuine, and passing these measurements is not acceptance by any agency, bank or employer.

Questions

Are these real documents?

No. They are specimen pages with invented data: a sample W-2, a lease, a bank statement, a utility receipt, a signed and stamped agreement, a release form and a specimen driver licence, rendered as phone photos and scans. No personal data was used.

How is “straight” measured?

Each specimen page carries four black marks in its corners. In the delivered file the four marks are located and the angle of each side is computed. A side more than 0.7 degrees off level fails the check.

Was this run only once?

No. The same forms go through the live site again in an automated check, and a check that fails is reported on the status page. The numbers on this page are from the run of 1 October 2026.

Will my own photo come out like this?

If the whole page is in the frame and the text is readable, in most cases yes. The result is shown on screen before any payment, with a magnifier for the detail, so you judge it yourself before downloading.

What happens with an ID card on a pale table?

It is searched twice: the second time with the tone of the table measured finely, which is what separates a pale card from a pale desk. In our 11 specimen photos of that kind the card comes out cropped to within 1.5% of its real edge. If the edge still cannot be told apart, for example a card almost the colour of the table, the photo is delivered exactly as it was taken: nothing cropped, nothing turned, full colour. The studio does not guess with an identity document.

Are the files uploaded?

No. The file is read on your own device, inside the browser. There is no upload endpoint, no server copy and no retention period. Once the page and its engine have loaded you can disconnect from the internet and it still reads the file and shows the result; downloading a paid result needs a connection for the licence check, which sends a count and never the file.

Can I see the result before paying?

Yes. The whole result is shown on screen, sharp and without a watermark, with a magnifier for the detail. Downloading the finished file is what is paid: $9.99 for three documents with no expiry, or $19.99 for unlimited documents during 30 days.
