Is this image AI-generated? What a file can prove, and what it cannot.
The short answer. Drop the JPEG or PNG into the Integrity Scanner. It reads what the file itself records: the software that made or last saved it (image generators and design programs leave their name when the file was not stripped), the created and modified dates, and the pixel evidence of editing: error level, sensor grain and cloned areas, outlined on the image. When design or image-generation software is recorded, the file is rated High. When nothing is recorded, the scanner says so, because an empty file is not evidence of a real photograph.
There is no detector that proves a photo is real, and anyone who sells you one is selling confidence. What a file can give you is its own record: who made it, when, and whether its pixels show the marks of editing. The scanner reads that record on your device and tells you where the evidence ends.
What it reads in the image
Camera and phone firmware, photo editors, design programs and image generators each leave their name when the file was saved with its metadata. The scanner reports the name it finds, and rates design or generation software High.
Created and modified, compared with the camera time when there is one. A photo that was never taken by a camera has no capture time to show.
Areas saved at a different compression level than the rest stand out: a pasted face, a retouched number, a replaced background.
A real camera leaves fine noise over the whole frame. Smoothed-over areas and pasted patches break it, and the scanner outlines them.
A region copied over another part of the same image, with the source and the copy outlined. Repeated letters and textures are ignored on purpose.
GPS location, device serial number and author names, when they are there; a copy without them can be downloaded.
How to check an image
Open the Integrity Scanner
Go to docsupra.com/?abre=scanner.
Drop the image
JPEG or PNG, up to 40 MB, or a folder or ZIP. The file is read on your device.

What it cannot tell you
Whether an image is real. A stripped file carries no software name and no camera data, and an image that was screenshotted, re-saved by a messaging app or printed and scanned loses its record the same way; the scanner then reports that nothing is recorded, which is not proof either way. Pixel evidence shows editing, not generation: a generated image that was never edited can look clean to it. Generators change every month and leave different marks. The scanner states the facts the file holds, with their limits, and never a verdict on the person who sent it.
What the Integrity Scanner costs
From one lease to a whole department: pay once for a few checks, or subscribe.
Document downloads are not part of this subscription: repairing and exporting documents is the Compliance Studio. Prices are in USD and exclude any tax that applies in your country; Stripe calculates it and shows it before you pay.

Can any software prove that a photo is real?
No. A file can carry evidence of editing or of the program that made it; it cannot prove the absence of generation. Be careful with anyone who promises a percentage of “AI probability” from the pixels alone.
The image has no metadata at all. Does that mean it was generated?
No. Messaging apps, social networks and screenshots strip metadata from real photos every day. The scanner reports that nothing is recorded and keeps the pixel evidence separate.
What does the scanner do when it finds an image generator’s name?
It reports the name as recorded and rates the file High, the same as design software. It is a fact about the file, not an accusation.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read on your own device, inside the browser. There is no upload endpoint, no server copy and no retention period. Once the page and its engine have loaded you can disconnect from the internet and it still reads the file and shows the result; downloading a paid result needs a connection for the licence check, which sends a count and never the file.
What does it cost?
Where the file came from and whether it is safe to open are shown to everyone. Whether it was edited, how, and what it exposes comes with a check: 3 checks with the $9.99 pack, 50 with the $19.99 pass, or up to 1,000 files a month with the $14.99 subscription. It is included with Professional Team and Corporate Studio.
