How to check whether a lease was edited after you signed it.
The short answer. Drop the lease into the Integrity Scanner. If the PDF was saved again after it was first written or signed, the scanner lists each later revision with its date and software, the lines removed and added on each page (an amount, a date, a clause), any text box laid over the page, and whether the version before the edits is still inside the file to download. It also says whether the copy carries a digital signature at all, and whether anything was added after it.
A lease is the document people most often receive as a scan or a PDF, sign, and never see again until something is disputed. By then there are two copies and a question: which one is the real one? The scanner answers from the file itself, on your device, in plain words, and it never judges the people involved.
What it reads in the lease
Every save after the first, with its date and the software that made it: a lease written in Word and saved again in Acrobat weeks later is the usual pattern.
Rent, deposit, late fee, term, pet clause, notice period: the text removed and added on each page, with a plain note on what to check against your copy.
A text box placed on top of a line, so that what prints differs from what the page says underneath. The scanner reports it, with the words it carries.
When the original is still inside the file, download it byte for byte and keep it next to the copy you received.
Whether the PDF carries a digital signature, whether anything was added after it, and whether the signed bytes still match. A scanned handwritten signature is an image, not a digital signature, and the scanner says so.
The copy you signed against the copy you received: identical bytes, or the exact lines that differ, page by page, with a dated PDF report.
What a real result looks like
The sample lease: saved twice. The second save, 45 days after the first, changed the rent, the deposit, the late fee, the term, the pet clause and the notice period, and laid a text box over page 1 reading “Rent: $1,650.00 per month”. The scanner rates it Integrity: High, lists each line, and notes that the version before the edits is still inside the file. Open it from the button above; it is the real engine reading a synthetic file.
How to check a lease
Open the Integrity Scanner
Go to docsupra.com/?abre=scanner, or open the sample lease first to see what a result looks like.
Drop the lease
The PDF you received, up to 40 MB, and if you have it, the copy you signed. Both are read on your device; nothing is uploaded.
Read the three answers
Edited? (yes, likely or no sign, with the reason), Source and time (the software that made it, when it was created and last saved) and Safe to open?.
Open What changed
Each revision, the lines that changed and where on the page, any text laid over it, and the signature check. Export the PDF report with the SHA-256 and keep it with the lease.
What it cannot tell you
Whether the change was agreed. A later revision is a fact about the file, not about the people: landlords and tenants do amend leases, and the scanner reports the edit without an opinion. It does not validate who signed, it does not read a lease that was printed to a new PDF or flattened (no earlier version survives in those), and it does not give legal advice. What it gives you is the file’s own record, dated, to take to whoever decides.
What the Integrity Scanner costs
From one lease to a whole department: pay once for a few checks, or subscribe.
Document downloads are not part of this subscription: repairing and exporting documents is the Compliance Studio. Prices are in USD and exclude any tax that applies in your country; Stripe calculates it and shows it before you pay.

My landlord sent a PDF that looks the same as the one I signed. How can I tell?
Drop both copies into the scanner and compare them: identical bytes, or the exact lines that differ, page by page. If you only have the received copy, the scanner still lists every later revision it carries and the lines each one changed.
Does a scanned signature count as a digital signature?
No. A scanned or drawn signature is an image on the page. A digital signature is a cryptographic record inside the PDF; the scanner tells you which one the file has, and only a digital one lets it check whether anything was added afterwards.
Can a lease be edited without leaving any trace?
Yes, if it is printed to a new PDF or flattened: the earlier versions are gone. The scanner then reports what remains, the software and the dates, and rates it Medium when the dates show a later save. It never claims more than the file shows.
Is my lease uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read on your own device, inside the browser. There is no upload endpoint, no server copy and no retention period. Once the page and its engine have loaded you can disconnect from the internet and it still reads the file and shows the result; downloading a paid result needs a connection for the licence check, which sends a count and never the file.
What does it cost?
Where the file came from and whether it is safe to open are shown to everyone. Whether it was edited, how, and what it exposes comes with a check: 3 checks with the $9.99 pack, 50 with the $19.99 pass, or up to 1,000 files a month with the $14.99 subscription. It is included with Professional Team and Corporate Studio.
