What a brand gets that a consumer app cannot give it
A consumer app is not licensed for client material and puts the file on someone else’s server. An enterprise platform is licensed, and puts the file on its server. Document scanning software that works from a phone photo and never uploads the file.
The short answer. You do not need a scanner. Photograph the page, drop the photo into the Compliance Studio, say what the document is and where it is going, and the studio straightens it, trims the desk away, evens the light and exports a file at the exact size, resolution and format the destination asks for. Everything happens in your browser: the document is never uploaded.
Scanning apps make a picture look like a scan. What a portal checks is something else: the file size, the pixel dimensions, the resolution, the format. A scan that looks perfect and weighs 14 MB is rejected by a portal that takes 12. The studio works to the published limit and tells you which one it applied.
What it does to a photo
The page is found inside the photo, the perspective is corrected and the desk is trimmed away, keeping the whole page.
Shadow and glare are evened and the text is sharpened; coloured bands, stamps and signatures stay.
Under a size cap in MB or KB, at the DPI and page size you set, in PDF, PDF/A-1b, JPEG, PNG, TIFF or DOCX.
Seven carry an agency’s published limit with the month it was checked; the rest are starting points or general-purpose and say so. Plus “my device” and your own specification.
Cards and passports are never recoloured. Say that it is an ID and the card is straightened and cropped when its edge is found; otherwise it stays as shot.

What it is not
It does not recognise the text: the file is an image of the page, so it is not searchable. It does not edit what the document says, it does not decide whether a document is genuine, and it is not affiliated with any government agency. Downloading is paid; nothing is free to download.
Questions
Can a phone replace a scanner?
For most filings, yes. A current phone camera captures more pixels than a 300 DPI scan of a Letter page needs. What matters is light, angle and exporting at the size and format the destination accepts, which is what the studio does.
Is my document uploaded to be scanned?
No. The file is read on your own device, inside the browser. There is no upload endpoint, no server copy and no retention period. Once the page and its engine have loaded you can disconnect from the internet and it still reads the file and shows the result; downloading a paid result needs a connection for the licence check, which sends a count and never the file.
Which formats can it deliver?
PDF, PDF/A-1b, JPEG, PNG, TIFF and DOCX, under a size cap in MB or KB, at a chosen DPI and page size.
Is the scanned text searchable?
No. The file is an image of the page; the studio does not perform text recognition.
Can I see the result before paying?
Yes. The whole result is shown on screen, sharp and without a watermark, with a magnifier for the detail. Downloading the finished file is what is paid: $9.99 for three documents with no expiry, or $19.99 for unlimited documents during 30 days.

Every organisation that receives documents relies on files it did not create: statements, pay stubs, certificates, contracts, invoices. Reviewing each one by eye does not scale and does not see what matters, because an edit is invisible on the page and plain in the file.

What it is not
It is not authenticity verification and it is not a fraud verdict: it states technical facts about a file and leaves the judgement to the person who has to trust it. A file with no signal is not proven genuine. A PDF produced with design or image software is rated High for that reason alone, even if it was saved only once. It is not antivirus software and it is not legal advice.

The short answer. Queue the whole intake, run every correction engine on each page, and export one combined multi-page PDF at the exact format the receiving portal requires. A failed file is named and skipped — it does not stop the run.

One bad file does not lose the batch
If a document is corrupt or in a format the browser cannot open, the run catches it, records the reason against that file by name, and moves to the next one. You get the other forty-nine and a list of what to re-scan — not a failed run and forty-nine documents to identify by hand.
A dated report you can put in the file
Every processed document can export a compliance report: a dated PDF listing each check that passed, the delivered file’s SHA-256, the destination it was formatted for and the published specification used. It states plainly what it does not certify — that the underlying document is genuine. Attach it to the matter file and the question “did we check this?” has a written answer six months later.
Where it runs
On the machine the files were opened on. A fifty-document batch never leaves the building, which is the part that makes it usable on client material at all.

The short answer. DocSupra has no upload step, because it has no server to upload to. Client ID, tax returns and signed forms are repaired in the browser on your own machines. No third party ever receives them.
Every other service in this category asks a paralegal to upload a client’s passport to a vendor. That single act creates a data-processing relationship, a copy you do not control, and a breach you would have to disclose. This one removes the act.

Do not take our word for it

What we do not claim
We are not a compliance certification and we do not sell one. We make one architectural statement and it is verifiable: no document content is transmitted or stored by us. What that means under your own obligations is your counsel’s call, not ours. We also make no finding about whether a document is genuine — this is imaging software, and no software determines authenticity from a photograph.

Asking a new hire to re-take a document photo costs two days and starts the relationship with an administrative argument. Most of the time the document is fine — the file is not.
Why HR is the worst case for uploading
An onboarding file is the densest collection of personal data a company holds about someone: government ID, address, date of birth, sometimes a visa status. Routing that through a third-party formatter to fix a brightness problem creates an exposure that is wildly out of proportion to the task. Here the task happens on the machine the email was opened on.

That last row matters more than it looks
A phone photo of a passport taken at home carries the coordinates of that home in its metadata. Forward it to payroll, a benefits provider and a background-check vendor and you have distributed an employee’s home address without meaning to. Stripping it is on by default here, and the compliance report records that it happened.

DocSupra does not certify that an organisation complies with any law, does not decide whether a document is genuine and does not give legal, tax or financial advice. Presets marked as a starting point have not been verified against a specific portal: confirm the current limits with the receiving body.

How can I tell if a lease was changed after signing?

Questions
What is the IRS upload limit?
The IRS Document Upload accepts up to 15 MB per file in PDF, JPG, JPEG or PNG. DocSupra carries that limit with the date it was last verified against the IRS page; agencies change limits without notice, so confirm before a deadline.
Do client documents leave our office?
No. Every file is measured and fixed on the machine that opened it. There is no upload endpoint. What can be recorded, if your people choose to, is file names or pseudonyms, hashes, sizes and verdicts, never the images.
Can it tell if a client’s pay stub or statement was altered?
It reports what the file says about itself: whether it was saved again after it was first written, when, with which software and which lines changed. It does not decide whether a document is genuine.
Does it make our firm compliant with the Safeguards Rule?
No. It gives your programme a written policy that the software enforces and a log chained by hash that you can verify. Compliance is your organisation’s responsibility, and we do not sell a certification.

Is there a plan for a single department?
Professional Team covers up to 3 people for $149 per month and includes the whole software: the Enterprise Compliance Studio, the team console, compliance mode, API access and the Integrity Scanner. Corporate Studio is the same software for 10 people, $29 per extra seat up to 500, with a named support contact and invoice billing.
Can different departments use different destinations?
Yes. Each desk is set up for a department and a destination, the delivery settings follow the desk, and the organisation log records the department with each batch. The usage report is per department and per person.
Do we need to sign a data-processing agreement for the documents?
There is nothing to process: the documents never reach us. A DPA is still available in the trust center for the little personal data the licence does hold (the account email and the identifiers your people record), together with the sub-processor list, SLA and enterprise agreement.
Can our own software use it?
Yes. API keys read the organisation log, verify the chain, read usage and policy and create capture links; signed webhooks push batch and admin events; the Integrity SDK runs the file-integrity analysis inside your application. Keys cannot download or administer.
Is the Integrity Scanner included?
Yes, for every person on Professional Team and Corporate Studio, and the desk shows the same integrity signal per file. On its own it is $14.99 per month.
