Document software for accounting firms
Client W-2s, 1099s and statements, fixed to the IRS limit and checked for edits, on your own machines.
Document software for accounting and tax firms: client documents, filing-ready, never uploaded.
The short answer. In tax season a practice receives hundreds of phone photos: W-2s shot at an angle, 1099s in shadow, bank statements as screenshots. DocSupra audits the whole intake on your own machines, fixes each file to the limit the IRS publishes (15 MB per file; PDF, JPG or PNG), flags statements and pay stubs that were edited after they were saved, and records what was done in a log that cannot be changed without breaking its chain. No client document is uploaded to DocSupra.
A client’s W-2 or bank statement is exactly the kind of record a breach notice is about, and a practice is expected to have a written plan for protecting it. Software that needs those documents on its own servers adds a processor to that plan. This one works the other way round: the documents stay on the workstation, and what leaves is a record of hashes and verdicts.
What a practice uses it for
Drop 50 to 500 client files, choose the department and the destination, and every file gets a verdict: ready, fixable or retake, with the reason.
The IRS Document Upload destination carries the published limit, 15 MB per file in PDF, JPG or PNG, with the date it was last checked against the IRS page.
Choose the form type and the photo is straightened, the desk trimmed away and the text sharpened, keeping the coloured bands and stamps.
Each file goes through the integrity engine: a pay stub or statement saved again after it was issued shows the revision, its date and its software.
Send a client a link; their phone checks the photo against the rule and makes the exact file before they send it to you.
A compliance mode with a mandatory, pseudonymous log, a retention window and a desk that clears itself when left alone; the log is chained by hash and can be verified at any time.
How a tax-season batch goes through
Set the desk
Open the Enterprise Compliance Studio and choose the department (accounting) and the destination, for example the IRS Document Upload.
Drop the client files
A folder, a ZIP or the files themselves: JPEG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF and PDF.
Read the audit
Format, pixels, DPI, size, sharpness and orientation per file, plus the integrity signal and the personal identifiers found in the text.
Deliver and record
One ZIP with every fixed file, an audit CSV and a certificate with the SHA-256 of each delivered file. Record the batch to the organisation log.
What it is not
It does not prepare or file a return and it is not tax advice. DocSupra does not certify that an organisation complies with any law, does not decide whether a document is genuine and does not give legal, tax or financial advice. Presets marked as a starting point have not been verified against a specific portal: confirm the current limits with the receiving body.
What it costs a team
Both plans include the same software. Corporate Studio adds people, a named support contact and invoice billing.
Prices are in USD and exclude any tax that applies in your country; Stripe calculates it and shows it before you pay. Only the monthly plans renew, and they cancel in one click from the Stripe receipt.

What is the IRS upload limit?
The IRS Document Upload accepts up to 15 MB per file in PDF, JPG, JPEG or PNG. DocSupra carries that limit with the date it was last verified against the IRS page; agencies change limits without notice, so confirm before a deadline.
Do client documents leave our office?
No. Every file is measured and fixed on the machine that opened it. There is no upload endpoint. What can be recorded, if your people choose to, is file names or pseudonyms, hashes, sizes and verdicts, never the images.
Can it tell if a client’s pay stub or statement was altered?
It reports what the file says about itself: whether it was saved again after it was first written, when, with which software and which lines changed. It does not decide whether a document is genuine.
Does it make our firm compliant with the Safeguards Rule?
No. It gives your programme a written policy that the software enforces and a log that cannot be edited without breaking its chain. Compliance is your organisation’s responsibility, and we do not sell a certification.
Which plans include it?
It is part of both team plans: Professional Team ($149 per month, up to 3 people) and Corporate Studio ($349 per month, 10 people included and $29 per extra seat, up to 500 people).
